Outspoken actress Kathleen Turner has slammed legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor's acting abilities, saying her performances in the screen icon's film remakes are better than the originals.
"I've played lots of roles that Liz Taylor played and played them much better. I like to think of myself as fixing the roles that she played in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf," said Turner.
Kathleen Turner took on Taylor's role in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof in 1990, making her Broadway debut with the character that Taylor made famous in the 1958 movie. She returned to New York's renowned theatre district in 2005 to play the female lead in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf - the same role Taylor played in a 1966 film.
