Paris Hilton banned from Vanity Fair party
Agencies  | Wednesday, 08 March , 2006, 18:20

Socialite Paris Hilton was banned from Vanity Fair's annual post-Oscar party on Sunday night. According to sources, she was blacklisted by the magazine's editor Graydon Carter.

Carter reduced the party's guest list to 500 this year, meaning only A-list stars.

The stars who were invited to Morton's Restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, included Madonna, Teri Hatcher, Nicole Kidman, Heath Ledger, Joaquin Phoenix, Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez.

When asked why Paris Hilton was not invited to the party, Carter quite insolently asked: "Paris who?"

Hilton's former friend Nicole Richie was allowed in and partied with another of the heiress' rivals Mischa Barton.

Incidentally, Paris Hilton, whom Carter allegedly does not know, had appeared semi-nude in this issue of Vanity Fair (See picture)
