The new film of Manchu Manoj Kumar in the direction of K. Raghavendra Rao was launched on Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner as production No. 51.
Shanta Biotech MD Varaprasad Reddy switched on the camera, while Dasari Narayana Rao clapped the muhurt shot. Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad rendered the harathi.
A press briefing was arranged on this occasion at Ramanaidu Studios.
Mohan Babu, Raghavendra Rao, Manoj, MM Keeravani, Lakshmi Prasanna, S Gopal Reddy and other took part in it.
Mohan Babu said: “Late NT Rama Rao launched our production house in 1982. After ten years, I produced his last film Major Chandrakanth in 1992. So far, we did 50 films, all of which were produced by me. Now, this 51st venture will be produced by my daughter Lakshmi Prasanna. There will be eleven songs. It is a musical entertainer.”
Lakshmi Prasanna said: “This is my debut film as producer and I feel lucky to be working with several senior technicians. We are introducing a new art director Raghu Kulakarni as the director. New face Tapsi is going to be the heroine.”
Balakrishna, who arrived at the sets, joined the press meet, saying: “Mohan Babu could film 50 ventures without a break. I am like a family member to Mohan Babu. I am happy that his sons are doing fine, while his daughter is entering the industry as producer.”
Hero Manoj said: “I worked as child artiste under the direction of K. Raghavendra Rao in Major Chandrakanth. Now, I am happy that I am working as hero under his ace direction.”
MM Keeravani said: “After Major Chandrakanth, this is my second film with Mohan Babu’s concern. The songs in this film are going to have the mix of folk, melody and fast beats.”
