Ilayathalapathy Vijay is smiling. Sun Pictures has confirmed his Vettaikaran as a Christmas release.
Sun Pictures has issued an ad in today’s Tamil papers that the film will release on December 18, Friday.
It clearly means that the reshoot that Sun Pictures has asked for has been agreed upon by the producers. All’s well that ends well. Vijay can now sit back and relax as the film will be aggressively marketed by the leader.
Please note for Vijay, Christmas is very special. The film that made him a star Fazil’s Kadhalluku Mariyadhai was released in December for Christmas and it turned out to be a super hit.
Christmas is a very good season to release Vettaikaran, as the weather throughout Tamil Nadu will be pleasant, and overseas it is holiday season.
And in all probability Vijay will get a solo release, which means the film will get an extraordinary opening.
