Vijay’s Vettaikaran censored!
By Moviebuzz  | Thursday, 05 November , 2009, 16:37

A source in the Censor Board in Chennai has confirmed that Ilayathalapathy’s eagerly awaited Vettaikaran has been cleared with an ‘UA’ certificate.

The Babu Sivan directed film is said to be a mass masala entertainer.

However, the Kollywood grapevine is abuzz with rumours that Sun Pictures who had purchased the film is not happy with the development. It looks as though the producer had not bothered to clear the film with them before censor.

As per sources the market leader who has revolutionized the way films are made, wanted some reshooting as they were not happy with the final product. Now there is a deadlock as the producer and Vijay are not very keen on a reshoot, while Sun Pictures who has the final say is insisting on some changes.

The release date of Vettaikaran will now very much depend on when Vijay and rest of the team will make those changes, to suit the marketing needs.
