Popular Bengali stars Jeet and Koel unveiled the H&G Clinic Anandalok Purashkar 2009 trophy on Thursday. One of the biggest entertainment award show in Eastern India, Anandalok Purashkar is in its 12th year of felicitating the best of the best in films, television and music.
Veteran actors Dhritiman Chatterjee and Dipankar De also announced the nominations for this year’s awards.
“This year will see the trophy in a brand new avatar. The golden trophy, which is a human figure with a star held close to its heart, will make the owner feel like the real star,” said an award ceremony spokesperson. “It is going to be a dream trophy for the stars and a matter of immense pride for the title holder to own this beautiful trophy.”
In the film category, awards will be given out to the Best Actor (male and female), Best Debutant (male and female), Best Music Director, Best Director and Best Film.
The television category will have awards for Best Serial and Best Actor (male and female).
H&G Clinic Anandalok Purashkar 2009 will also recognise the achievements in non-film music by felicitating the Best Non-film Music Album. This year, a new category - the H&G Clinic Face of 2009 - has also been introduced. This award will be bestowed upon the person who has been the most consistent performer throughout the year.
