“The Golden Elephant -16”, an International Children’s Film Festival
of India is going to be held in Hyderabad from November 14-20, 2009.
Over 60 films including that of 6 UNESCO-certified films will be
competing this year for ‘The Golden Elephant’ awards. The films will
be screened for public viewing at Prasad’s IMAX and top theaters in
Hyderabad.
“The Golden Elephant – 16” has other categories like
Children’s World, Asian Panorama and International Competition.
Children’s Film Society, India and the Central & State Governments are
jointly organizing this festival. Noted actress Nandita Das is the
chair person of this event.
Chief Minister K Rosaiah will attend the
opening ceremony of festival as the chief guest.
Many foreign delegates from various countries are going to attend this
festival.
Tollywood is planning for a luxurious Nawabi dinner for
them to be held on 15th November at “Taramati Baradari” near Gandipet
Lake.
