Namitha’s eagerly awaited Jaganmohini directed by NK Viswanathan and produced by H.Murali which was to release on September 25, has now been postponed to November 6 or 13.
The release date had to be changed as too many films were released on
Sep 25, and Kamal Hassan’s Unnaipol Oruvan had become a hit,
thereby blocking a large number of theatres. And now with Diwali
around the corner (October 17), it does not make sense to release
Jaganmohini in October.
A remake of yesteryear Jaganmohini starring Jayamalini, the
modern version with Namitha will have state of art special effects and
graphics. The music of Ilayaraja is another highlight of the film. The
makers of the film does not want it to clash with the Diwali biggies
and preferred a solo release in November.
