The audio launch of Chola Creations P Ltd’s Yadhu Maghi was a glittering affair at the Sathyam cinemas today morning (July 3).

Attended by both established and new age directors, the film starring Sunaina and debutant Sachin, saw a good turn out of both guests and dignitaries.

Directed by debutant R Balakumar, a former AD with Bhagyaraj, it was no wonder that Bhagyaraj was there to bless his protégé. Pandiraj, fresh from the success of Pasanga was also present to wish his colleague good luck.

“We all worked together for Bhagyam magazine for Bhagyaraj sir. We would all gather at Woodlands and tell our stories to each other. I am thrilled that Balu and Santhanam (the art director) have done so well with their first film” said Pandiraj

Susindran, Dharini, KV Anand, SP Charan, Manoharan were the directors who all wished Balakumar well. Abirami Ramanathan remarked, “The invite in the form of the book of poems of Bharati will be handed down to generations in my family. It prompted me to come for this function though I like to avoid morning events. Its truly a novel idea.”

James Vasanthan seems to have scored a hat trick with this film if the songs shown were anything to go by. A duet and a montage were shown featuring the lead pair Sunaina and Sachin. Lilting tunes, fantastic camerawork and good choreography seemed to be the hallmark of the songs.

James Vasanthan made a plea, “Audio launches should have the presence of the singers who make the songs a success as well.” Bhagyaraj was pleased that the new directors from his stable were all promising. “Though Balakumar missed earlier chances, he is indeed lucky to be going with Chola Creations in this slick entertainer. All credit goes to his parents and wife for encouraging him to stick to his dreams for a career in cinema despite all the hurdles.”

Ramanarayanan released the audio which was received by Bhagyaraj. For Sunaina the film could well be a hat trick too after Kathalil Vizhunthen and Masilamani<>/I>.
