SJ Suryah, after a long break is back as hero with Newtonin Moodram Vithi.
The film produced by Madras Entertainments, directed by debutant Thaimuthuselvan is ready for release on May 1.
Says Suryah at a press meet: “ I’m confident about the script made like a Hollywood type thriller with all the events taking place in a day”. He dons only one get up throughout the film except in the dream songs.
The music is by Vinay.
The film took a year in the making and Suryah says it was because that was the time required to make it. A lot is riding on it for the director turned actor, whose survival as a hero depends on this film.
The actor now wants to act in films that are directed by others. Say Suryah: “Only if I act under some other director and prove successful will I be given recognition in the industry. I can continue produce, direct and act in my own films, but I don’t want to do that.”
Suryah seems confident that Newtonin Moodram Vithi will be a huge success. “I loved my character in the film so much that I asked the director to give me the costume and all props to take home,” he says with a big smile. Now lets see if this film will prove as lucky as New, since that too was released on May 1.
