The audio launch of PPG Enterprises’ Vaigai was a star studded affair at the Green Park Hotel on Thursday (March 26) evening.

The hall was packed to capacity and overflowing as debutant producer PPG Kumaran welcomed his guests. Rama Narayan, Sivasakthi Pandian, Azhagan Tamilmani, Vijaykumar and a host of other film personalities were present.

To add glamour, there was actor Namitha in skin tight leotards and long top with dupatta. She congratulated the cast in her short speech and released the audio of the film.

The film is the debut of young hero Bala who won the Maanadu Mayiladu season 2 last year. His co star is Visaka a girl from Kerala. This is director LR Sundarapandi’s maiden venture.

The music is done by Sabesh Murali who were also at the event. Three songs including a thiruvizha number were screened. The old song Aayiram Thamarai… has been remixed for this film and picturised on the lead pair.

The film is based on real life incidents in Madurai and is a love story shot extensively in that area. Ganja Karuppu has played a major role and was also seen in a rare appearance at the event.

Rama Narayan commented that a film centred on Madurai usually does well and the title is a sign of success for the film. TV actor Sham Ganesh was also present and disclosed that he has done a small role in the film.
