U & I - A new film launched
By Moviebuzz  | Friday, 05 December , 2008, 10:52

U & I is the title of a new film, starring debutants Rohan and Aditi Chowdary. The flick was launched at Annapurna studios, Hyderabad. Made on JSMN Cinema banner, it is directed by debutant Ranjith Belluri and produced by Ravindra Kumar Thota.

Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce president KS Rama Rao clapped the muhurt shot on the lead pair, while spiritualist Daivagna Sharma switched on the camera. First short direction was formally rendered by senior producer C. Kalyan.

Ranjith Belluri said: "I thank my producer for his belief in me. I got acquainted with him while I went to the US for pursuing my MS there. Thota has a consultancy in NJ. During our discussions, we used to speak a lot about film stories. This way, I happened to tell a story to him. It is about the tale of two extreme personalities. While the hero is an introvert, the heroine is an extrovert. We want to juxtapose the point that as against the human greed of enjoying bigger things and caring little for smaller pleasures, our story deals with the opposite of it. We wish to make this as a quality Telugu film without compromising on the subject. We have happy to field a Telugu guy as hero. We will go ahead with regular schedules from the third week of this month."

Debut hero Rohan said: "I met director Ranjith when I was doing my engineering. I finished my bachelor's at the Theatre Arts. Based on the story requirement and that of my characterization, I was made go through a complete changeover in looks and body language. I hope to do my best." Aditi Chowdary said, "I come from Delhi. I thank my director for making my entry possible in this competition filled Telugu film industry. My characterization would be liked by one and all, and it was basically molded in a friendly manner. The audience will see a different characterization with that."

A Chennai-based music director Karthik is roped into to score the beats for this curiously titled flick. He said that there were five songs in the film.
