Britney Spears’ comeback single Womanizer , which was to hit the shelves on September 22, has been held back in a bid to put final touches to the song.
The singer’s label has decided to postpone the release of her new single after a part of it was leaked online, along with a secret recording of the singer practising her new dance routine in a studio.
The bit was picked up by a local US radio station and evoked a disappointing response. “The label held the song back to make it as good as possible,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.
The pop icon’s Womanizer is now scheduled to release on November 24, while her comeback album Circus will be launched on December 2 – her 27th birthday.
Britney, who recently gleamed at the MTV Video Music awards winning 3 trophies, may soon be performing at the British reality show, The X-Factor.
