Once again the release date of Aaskar Film's eagerly awaited Kamal Hassan magnum opus Dasavatharam, directed by K.S Ravikumar has been postponed by a week. Now the film will release on June 12 instead of June 6, due to delay in lab work.
The producer of the film V.Ravichandran told sify.com late on Wednesday night- "We have to print around 1000 copies in three languages- Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions. It will take time, and some of the work is taking place in Adlabs Mumbai lab, hence the delay."
And Ravi is distributing the film himself in the Indian domestic market in all languages. It is a tough call and a daring decision, but the man has the guts to pull it off. He is directly calling up the theatres and making the bookings.
Meanwhile today (May 29), the Madras High Court will take a decision on the petitions submitted before it opposing the release of the film. If the High Court gives the film a clean chit and allows its release based on the censor certificate, Dasavatharam will hit the screens on June 12.
