The band was formed in 2003 initially called as dethzone with a line up Guitarist
Arjun, along with drummer Pradeep and with Wayne on the bass. This line up did
not last for too long. The band after several attempts found themselves winning
best new entry, best original composition (freedom), best drummer, and best
lead guitarist at the Underground Competition at the Unwind Center.
A shortwhile after their trip to SYMBIOSIS – Pune where Wayne and Arjun
played an acoustic duo they were placed third. Soon Wayne was replaced by bassist
Krishnan and this line up renamed nerverek played at Power chord, IITChennai,
placed second and with also a good review of their show when they played at
razz (Bombay)! With bassist
JIPMER 2004 ended with Nerverek placing 3rd with the additions of winning the
3rd place for best song (medley of metallica and megadeth), Sriram bagging the
3rd for best bassist, Pradeep coming 2nd for best drummer, and Arjun coming
first for best lead guitarist, as well as first for best rhythm guitarist (as
he is the only guitarist in the band)! With this Keshav (Arjun’s brother)
replaces Pradeep, who at the very first first show he ever played (Underground
2004) wins best drummer and Nerverek also wins best original composition (Speed
Thrills…but every line kills) Keshav later on also won best drummer at
the semi pro category at the IIT Saarang 2005!The latest addition to Nerverek’s
sound Christopher of "NO IDEA" fame on keyboards. |
