The pretty Asin debuted in Sathyan Anthikkad's Narendran Makan
Jayakanthan Vaka in 2001.
But her first big film was Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi
opposite Ravi Teja in 2003. She won the Telugu Filmfare Award
for Best Actress.[2] More successful Telugu films like Shivamani,
Lakshmi Narasimha and Gharshana followed. She then
conquered the Tamil film industry with superhits like M. Kumaran
son of Mahalakshmi and Ghajini
After establishing herself as a top star in the south, Asin moved
to Bollywood with the remake of Ghajini. Her role as Kalpana Shetty
has put her in the top league.
