Born in 1965, Salman shares his birth year with the other two Khans of Bollywood - Shahrukh and Aamir. He's been part of Bollywood for 15 years and has grown from a scrawny looking youth to a macho and a very eligible bachelor in India.
Despite his skirmishes with black bucks and rash driving charges, Salman Khan remains very attractive to fans and foes alike. While the girls chase him, all the wannabes who come to Bollywood with dreams in their eyes want a body like Salman's and an aura like Salman not withstanding the controversies, which only makes him appear even more macho.
During his tenure in Bollywood, he has been seriously attached to Sangeeta Bijlani, Somy Ali, Aishwarya Rai and currently Katrina Kaif. Vague rumours of liaisons with Karisma Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Diya Mirza and every other nymphet, do the rounds of the gossip mags, but it just shows that Salman's reticence and elusiveness with the media make him more and more attractive to his fans.
Salman has recently launched a film to be directed by David Dhawan, co-starring Katrina Kaif. This will be made under the banner of Sohail Khan productions. Salman produced Tumko Na Bhool Payenge along with Gordhan Tanwani, which didn't work at the box office.
Few know that one of Salman's pastimes is to write scripts -- a gene probably inherited from his father Salim Khan. A couple of films he wrote are Baaghi and Chand Ka Tukda.
Salman has been a part of quite a few films of late - Garv, Phir Milenge with Revathy (with whom he had earlier done Love), Dil Churake Chal Diye and Mujhse Shaadi Karoge.
He is now shooting Lucky which is directed by Williard Carol who has earlier made Playing By Heart. The story is about an Indian choreographer who falls in love with a Hollywood actress who comes to India to shoot. The film is to be shot in Goa, Jaisalmer and the USA.
Slaman has Ravi Chopra’s film with Amitabh Bachchan lined up. A career lined with personal issues, which has made life not as smooth sailing as it, might be, and on the professional front Salman is seen as an underplayed and natural actor who deliver more than the script asks for.
