Carey cancels lavish wedding ceremony

Pop singer Mariah Carey, who secretly got married to rapper and actor Nick Cannon, has cancelled a second wedding ceremony she wanted to organise for her friends here.

Carey and her husband reportedly wanted to spend millions of dollars on the ceremony and make up for it by selling pictures to magazines but no publication was interested.

A source close to them said, "The small wedding in the Bahamas was nice, but it was not Mariah's style. The lady loves a spectacle. Mariah was willing to pay for the wedding, but the way she hoped to pay for the wedding was through the sale of photos. But no one was interested."
