In picture: Lady Gaga either likes to go commando or with just the underwear. Here she is in Japan looking quite the tart in leopard print underpants, thigh-high boots and purple hair. And she takes looking the part so seriously that there's even a hole in her fishnet. No points for spotting where.

We've just had a look at all the Halloweencostumes and the extent Heidi Klum and her celebrity friends go toevery year just to amp up the 'ominous' quotient. We're sorry to saythis Heidi, but your once-a-year antics are nothing consequential anymore. We believe 2008 is the last you reigned as the Queen of ShockValue.

Now, we've got a new ruler who does it every day with ease - Lady Gaga!

Andshe quite rightly has picked up this year's Stylemaker Award at the2009 ACE Awards in New York. Congratulations, Gaga! We quite don't knowwhat to make of your lace veiled, bra-on-the-outside, grey suede catoutfit. But we're impressed!

Sparkly underpants have so far beenthe tamest piece of clothing in Gaga's kitschy-funky wardrobe. Blood,gore, nudity are her most favoured accessories. Take a look at her'bleeding angel' performance of Paparazzi at this year's VMAs and you'll know what we're talking about.

ToriAmos has written her off saying she has nothing but the ability to grabour eyeballs. Madonna differs. The Queen of Pop has admitted to havingbeen able to see a bit of herself in this new-age pop star - and that'ssaying a lot.
