 What to do when your motorcycle or scooter won't start.
Don't panic. A methodical approach can probably locate and solve the problems easily.
Follow these simple steps before approaching your dealer or mechanic.
In order for your bike to start, it has to have three things fuel,air (compression), spark.It has to have the right ratio of fuel and air, and the spark has to be precisely timed.
1) First check if there is fuel in fuel tank, if the fuel tap is switched ON, also check if the fuel tank cap vent hole is blocked.
2) Next check if the fuel pipe is pinched or twisted.
3) Check and clean air filter element.
4) Check and clean spark plug and adjust electrode gap
5) Check the ignition switch & engine kill switch are switched ON
If even after following the maintenance tips given above, your vehicle continues to give you problems, you should take it to an authorized dealer or mechanic for further checks.
