Your take on 2004
India has seen it all! Celebrations, success stories, controversies and squabbles. Unexpected poll debacle saw a change in Government policies overnight. However, bluechip firms continued to raise performance to become $ 1 billion companies.
Market doom and subsequent boom were witnessed within the shortest interval, this year. Black Monday of May 18 and uneasiness over turnover tax have become things of the past. Quarter after quarter India Inc continued to surge ahead. This year also saw auto parts manufacturers setting shop overseas and acquiring foreign companies.
Sibling rivalry raised its ugly in more than one family. And in another corporate family, lack of proper will saw succession issues sweep out business interests. All in all, corporates showed remarkable resilience despite volatile policies and markets.
Now, share your views on the event which impacted your finances most. It can be on the markets or corporate happenings. Whatever it be, your view matters! So, do starting keying in them right away.
