Mumbai: Sonata Software Ltd said its second-quarter profit rose 81 per cent. Net income rose to Rs 21.63 crore ($4.5 million) in the three months ended September 30 from Rs 11.93 crore a year earlier, the Bangalore-based company said on Tuesday in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Sales rose 25 per cent to Rs 419 crore.
The shares of the company rose as much as 19 per cent to end at Rs 21.40 on the BSE.
