Pentax announced the 10.2MP K-m (also called the K2000) in September 2008. When the kit arrived, the boxed kit contained two lenses - the 18 - 55mm f/3.5-5.6 DAL and a 50 - 200mm f/4-5.6 DAL.
They have been reengineered for the K-m and are beautifully compact and lightweight. Covering a 35mm equivalent focal range of 35 - 300mm, the kit seems rather attractive for beginners with a limited budget.
Does the K-m match up to its competition in the entry-level segment?
