The compensation for the 52-year-old chairman and CEO of Pepsi included annualised salary and bonus as well as value of stock and option awards.
The Forbes list of 100 top-paid women in corporate America has been led by Margaret C. Whitman, who recently retired as chief executive of eBay, world's largest online marketplace. Whitman drew an annual package of over $120 million dollar, almost 10 times that of Nooyi.
Nooyi, Buffett, Steve Jobs and their fashion sense
Last month Forbes ranked Nooyi third among 100 most powerful women in the world. "Nooyi continues to grow PepsiCo, the $39 billion food and beverage giant, through new product offerings and acquisitions," it said in the citation.
The only two women preceding Nooyi in the list were Angela Merkel, chancellor of Germany, at No 1, and Sheila C. Bair, chairperson of Federal Deopist Insurance Corp, at No 2.
