| | | | Posted By: Narayanan K | On:07/07/2009 | 1. The beginning of economic reformation assured in Persidential address is postponed.
2. Improving rural spending is welcome feature.
3. Instead a beginning could be made to connect rivers, to augment perenial water scarecity.
4. Steps could be announced to popularise and assist usage of drip irrigation
5. 100% exemption for political funding and tax concession for anonymous funds for trusts -Is this to prevent generation of black money or to bring stashed money at tax havens? whichever, good for the nation
6. Let us wait with optimism

2. Retired people should be exempted from all taxes viz IT, Service Tax, excise and other taxes.
3. DA paid to empolyees should be exempted. This will avoid need for periodic revision of IT exeption limit.

| | | | Posted By: Aam Aadmi | On:06/07/2009 | It is surely not Aam Aadmi budget. Does finance minister think that Aam Aadmi of india earn more than 10 lacs/year?
If the surcgange was to be removed it could have been replaced by increasing tax by another 10% (ie. 40%) for income higher than 10 lac/year.
The stadard deduction increase was more important for aam aadmi which is not considered at all.
