
New Delhi: Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) has reported a 61 per cent increase in net profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 402.30 crore against Rs 250.11 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.

The company’s net sales went up 55 per cent to Rs 1,895 crore (Rs 1,223.13 crore) and exports were up 19.25 per cent to Rs 336.62 crore (Rs 282.27 crore), the company said in a release.
The company’s production of sponge iron and pig iron increased by nine per cent during the quarter while the total output for finished and semi-finished steel products such as structurals, rails, slabs, blooms, billets, etc., went up by 33 per cent.
Jindal Power Ltd (JPL), a subsidiary of JSPL, reported net sales of Rs 293.60 crore during the quarter and a PAT of Rs 41.31 crore.
