The government today proposed an investment of Rs 4,140.55 crore for 2009-10 for developing national highways, besides those built by the National Highways Authority of India.
Budget is positive, realistic, say industrialists
Presenting the bugdet 2009-10 Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee also provided a budgetary support of Rs 1,988.55 crore for grants to states under the Central Road Fund (CRF) for 2009-10.
Minimum Rs 30 lakh needed to be called wealthy
The CRF is also proposed to provide Rs 4843.13 crore for development of rural roads.
