Hyderabad: In a unique initiative to enhance the employees’ work-life balance and to enthuse Generation Next with excitement about innovation and technology, Microsoft India is celebrating today as the ‘Bring Your Child to Work’ day.
More than 1,300 Microsoft kids across India among which around 705 are visiting the Microsoft Hyderabad campus — ranging from 3 to 17 years — visited their parent’s work place, to get an idea of the work that Microsoft and their parent do.
This was packed with lot of fun.
In a statement, Microsoft said while the older children will get a chance to ‘shadow’ their parent or a mentor to understand their parent’s work place, kids spend time doing some fun activities with employee volunteers.
The younger age group draw cartoons, paint, treasure-hunt, have story-telling sessions, enjoy a ventriloquist show, play Microsoft logos’ jigsaw puzzles among others.
The HR Director, Microsoft Hyderabad, Kalpana Shah, in a statement said “The ‘Bring Your Child to Work’ day is a window to help our extended Microsoft families get a peek into the lives of our employees that is their parents.”
