Maharashtra BJP president Nitin Gadkari today admitted differences between his
party and the Shiv Sena, that arose during the recent presidential elections,
still persisted.
The State BJP would prepare a report on the alliance and submit it to party
high command soon, he told reporters here.
On the question of BJP and Shiv Sena having similar views on the implications
of the Srikrishna Commission Report, Mr Gadkari said, ''The view could be similar
for this issue and as far as alliance is considered, it will be decided by the
party high command.'' The two parties were at loggerheads after the Shiv Sena
supported UPA candidate Pratibha Patil in the recent Presidential elections.
even Sena's support to the NDA nominee in the vice-presidential election failed
to cement the gap between the two parties.
