Mumbai: Hukumsingh Raghav, a resident of Kota, Rajasthan, who came here on the fateful morning of August 25 to purchase imitation jewellery for customers in his state, is now thanking his stars for the close shave he had in the blast at Jeveri Bazar.
Raghav, who suffered head, chest and leg injuries in the blast, was having snacks at a nearby makeshift joint at the time of the incident. He felt a heavy blow from behind and, within seconds, fell down. He tried to get up after a few minutes but could not and was taken to the police van and brought to the hospital.
After alighting at the Bombay Central at 0830 hrs, he had gone straight to the market to purchase imitation jewellery worth Rs 20,780. He lost everything in the blast.
Raghav had been a regular visitor to the market for the past five to six months.
He said now he would not come to Mumbai again to purchase jewellery and that he would switch to some other business.
''My family will not allow me to come here,'' he said.
