Jazz, Carnatic classic and Hindustani music - you can get all these under one roof. Eminent artistes like Dr.L. Subramaniam, his wife Kavitha Krishnamurti, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Miya Masaoka and Seeta Subramaniam will all converge on a single platform to present a unique concert.
This extraordinary music amalgamation will take place at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Centre, in New York on the evening of Saturday, July 31,2004.
The concert that day will commence with the theme - A Night of Fusion and the 'right to domestic violence awareness'. The money raised from this show will be donated to Manavi, an organization dedicated to end all violence against women. This show is being led by violin genius Dr.L.Subramaniam. He is trained in both the classical and western music. His music has spread across the globe. He has composed music and performed with the world’s major orchestras like New York Philharmonic, Swiss Romande Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic and the New Zealand Symphony.
The objective of this endeavour is to bring the message through the medium of music.The producer of this show is keen that viewers and listeners understand that violence has no boundaries. The performance will bring the audience to experience diverse personalities working together as one.
