| The Music Department of Madras University is offering a Masters course in Bharthanatyam. Prof.C.V.Chandrasekhar, Prof.Sudharani Raghupathi and other senior performing artistes will feature as guest faculties. This is a self –financed course and based on CBCS (credit based system) in semester pattern. Students will be taught right from the beginning (adavus) to the abhinaya and dance-related music and history of dance etc. The University has allotted 30 seats. The Music department also offers various short-term certificate courses in Music and Harikatha and Bhajan course apart from the Masters in Music, M.Phil and Ph.d.
