The last three days of Navaratri are celebrated in honour of the all-pervasive goddess with the name Saraswathi!
She is the goddess who gives us education with which we can easily gain all pleasures and wealth in life. When the goddess of education - Saraswathi - is prayed to, the planet Budhan (Mercury) can be appeased as Saraswathi is the devtha for Budhan (Mercury).
Mercury is the planet for education. It is the planet that relieves one from hurdles in education, want of shrewdness/intelligence etc. Higher education and the success in examinations are also possible only by the strength of Budhan (Mercury).
If we give importance to women folk in the final three days of Navaratri, it will indirectly be a puja for Saraswathi and in other words a good remedy for a weak Budhan (Mercury) position in the horoscope.
The numerological number of Budhan (Mercury) is 5. Those who are born in this birth number (i.e. in the dates 5, 14, and 23) will surely gain from the third part of Navaratri (which is Saraswathi puja) if they are very sincere in praying to Saraswathi. By chanting her name continuously or by going to the temple of Navagraha/Vishnu on these three days (i.e. 7th day to 9th day of Navaratri) they are sure to be successful in their education.
The final day’s Saraswathi puja and Vijaya Dasami should be observed with full seriousness. The puja will give us academic success and dasami will give success in anything which is begun on that day.
Thus, the three goddesses who rule Navratri will enrich our lives if we take care to observe the proper rituals and remember to treat women folk with respect.
