How do I install Sify Buzz?
To install Sify Buzz on to your desktop, double-click on the 'Download Sify
Buzz' icon/link. Download the folder and save it in a location of your choice.
Double-click on the folder and the installation wizard will guide you through
the few simple steps in installing Sify Buzz.
The installation will complete itself in less than 1 minute! |

How do I login into Sify Buzz?
When you click on the Sify Buzz icon, the login window will open automatically.
You can now use your Sify ID to log into Sify Buzz. If you do not have a
Sify ID, just click on the 'Get a Sify ID' button on the login window to
register. |

What are Sify Buzzmates?
Your Sify Buzzmates are all the people, that you have invited or added to
your Sify Buzz list. Your Sify Buzzmates list lets you see their online/offline
status and read their status message. |

How do I add Sify Buzzmates?
You can use any of these 3 methods to add a Sify Buzzmate: 1) Select the
'Add' icon on your client & enter your friends's Sify ID. 2) Select the
'Friends' option in the 'Edit' menu on your client and click on 'Add Friend'.
3) Select a Group on your client (Eg: Friends) and right click on it. Select
'Add Friend' and enter your friend's Sify ID. |

How do I search for a Sify Buzzmate?
To search for a Sify Buzzmate, click on the Search link on the 'Edit->Friends->Search
Friend' menu on your client. Enter the parameters you wish to search for.
Please note that it is not necessary to fill in all parameters. Sify Buzz
will locate Sify Buzz users who match your friend's profile.
To add your friend to your Sify Buzz list, right click on his name as it
appears in the result window and then select the 'Add as Sify Buzzmate'
link. |

How do I send an Instant Message?
To send an instant message, select the ID from your Sify Buzzmates list
and either double-click or right click and select 'Send Message'. You can
also click on the 'Send Message' icon on the task bar. This will open the
Message window. Type out your message in the text field at the bottom of
the window and click on 'Send'. The upper half of the Message window will
display all messages sent & received. |

How can I send messages in Indian languages?
To send a message in an Indian language, you will first need to download
the plug-in for that language. Click here to download.Once you download
the plug-in, it will automatically install itself. You can now send messages
in the language of your choice by typing the words phonetically in English.

Can I customise the fonts & colour of
my messages?
Yes. To personalize your messages select the font type, size and colour
by using the drop-down menus and the colour bar on the message window. You
can also customise your messages by indicating your choice in the 'Appearance'
section on 'Edit->Preferences'. |

Can I send 'Emoticons' in my messages?
Yes! You can make your messages more interesting & expressive by adding
emoticons to them. Simply choose the one you want by clicking on the 'Emoticons'
icon on your message window. |

Can I view my past conversations?
Yes. The Message Archive function allows you to view your past conversations.
To do this, simply go to Messages menu on the main client as well as on
the Message window and select 'View Message Archive'. Select the name of
the Sify Buzzmate whose messages you wish to read. |

Can I send a message to a Buzzmate who
is offline?
When you message a Buzzmate who is offline, he/she will receive it as an
offline message the next time he logs on. To view your recent offline messages,
select the 'View Offline Messages' from the Message menu on your Sify Buzz
client. |

How can I send files on Sify Buzz?
To share a file, click on the 'Send a file' link on the Messages menu. Enter
the ID of the Sify Buzzmate to whom you wish to send a file. Locate the
file by clicking on 'Browse' and click on 'Send'. You can send files up
to 4MB in size. |

How can I uninstall Sify Buzz?
You can uninstall Sify Buzz through the 'Add/remove' programs option on
your Control Panel or through your program menu. To uninstall Sify Buzz
through your program menu, select Sify Buzz and click to uninstall. |

How can I 'Export' my buddy list to
someone else?
With Sify Buzz Version 1.2, you can 'export' users on your Buddy list to
other Sify Buzz users. To do so, just 'right-click' on the user's name on
your client and select 'Export Buddy List'. From the dialogue box that is
opened, select the buddies that you wish to export and click on 'Export'.
Your Buddy can now choose to 'Import' users from your Buddy List! |

What are Public Chat rooms?
Public chat rooms are chat rooms on Sify Buzz which Sify Buzz users can
join and where they can meet other like-minded users. |

How can I join a Public Chat room?
To join a Public Chat room. select the 'View Public Chat Rooms' option on
your 'Messages' menu. From the dialogue box that opens select a Publ ic
Chat room of your choice and click on 'Join'. Now you can go ahead and chat
with other Sify Buzz users! |

Who is i-Pal?
The i-Pal is an automated assistant. He is automatically added to your Sify
Buzz buddy list and helps you keep up with the latest happenings around
the worldand on Sify! Choose from the list of commands below to access the
information of your choice.
To disable i-Pal, deselect the 'Show i-Pal on my friends list' option on
your 'Preferences' menu. |
